Tokyo Academy of Communications (TAC) Language Institute offers customized Japanese classes for companies, missionaries, embassies and individuals. Classes are based on the coaching method. English lessons and teaching method seminars are also provided.
In many fields of business and education, teaching follows a directional approach from boss to subordinate, lecturer to audience. This is a one-way equation based on the teacher's possession of 'right answer'. It causes students to be passive learners without any stimulus for tapping the potential or talent within them. Teachers also feel obsessed with "perfect knowledge", which needs constant revision.
In contrast, the concept of Coaching is that teachers should not teach, only coach. Teachers are supposed be facilitators so that the learners become self-motivated enough to come up with the best solution available.
Coaching is neither moral teaching nor know-how to solve problems; it is developing a new way of communication and relationship with your students / subordinates. If you change the method, you can change yourself and people around you, and you will see something more than you ever expected.
But, how can it be done? The art coaching involves developing the following skills.
At TAC Language Institute, we think that coaching is the most efficient and effective way of teaching, and therefore we have applied it to our language learning fields. In one case, our students successfully mastered 4 skills (reading, writing, listening and speaking) from scratch to advanced level within 5 months, which usually takes 18 - 24 months.
How is it possible!? You will find answers on our Japanese Programs page.
It is okay even if a student wants to try a 1 - 2 year course at conventional schools, but we think it is a long and hard way, so Why not enjoy your journey with us!!
